I get a little money from eBay or Amazon when you click the links below and buy something.
No modern world would be complete without the means to fly the friendly skies and cross the ocean blue. So in the GeoTrax world, you are not limited just to train sets and other land vehicles. You can go boating in sailboats, yachts, and tugboats. You can fly high in airplanes, jets, and helicopters.
Listed below are the sets with either sea themes or air themes. You’ll notice that there are a few sets that have trains, instead of boats or planes. Apparently these trains like to keep near the water and so fit into this category. As is often the case in a thematic grouping, you could also place some of these sets under a different theme, and I wouldn’t disagree with you.

Cross the River over the Bayshore Drawbridge

The Bayshore Drawbridge set (G4880) is unusual in that, although it truly is a raised bridge, you get track that brings you back down to earth at both ends.
As you can see below, you can use the red handle to raise the bridge to let the sailboat through. A bell dings inside the house when the bridge is moved.
Check out a video where all this happens. It’s the first one in the fourth playlist.
This set was released in 2004 and discontinued just a year later in 2005.
A complete set consists of the following items which are all shown in the picture.
- Drawbridge
- Sailboat
- Cargo Crate

Sail Safely Near the Harbor Docks Lighthouse

The Harbor Docks Lighthouse is such a big building that it feels like a starter set piece, but there’s not much track, so we’ll keep it in the expansion group. The lighthouse itself does light up when supplied with the requisite batteries. When a train passes under the roof, you can hear ocean waves and either a foghorn, clanging bells, or seagulls.
Watch a video to hear the sounds. It’s the first one in the fourth playlist.
Set G4881 was released in 2004 and discontinued in 2006.
A complete set consists of the following items which are all shown in the picture.
- Lighthouse with Dock (Requires 3 AA batteries)
- Tugboat
- Angled Cargo
- Curved Rail Track

Carry Your Cargo across the Sea with the Ocean Cargo Transport

Tote that barge and lift that bale. Ship all your heavy goods in the cargo crates of the Ocean Cargo Transport (G5543) system.
This barge and three crates were apparently released in 2005, according to documentation I found. This seems late compared to other sets with product IDs nearby, but I suppose it’s possible.
A complete set consists of the following items which are all shown in the picture.
- Barge
- 3 Cargo Crates
Never Run Out of Gas with Seaplane Fueling Nearby

The seaplane that comes with this Seaplane Fueling set (G5544), which was released in 2004 and discontinued in 2008, also works with set G5760 Coastal Winds Airport. The Fuel Station and Cargo Barrels are unique to this set however.
A complete set consists of the following items which are all shown in the picture.
- Fuel Station
- Seaplane
- Cargo Barrels (group of 4)

Take Time at the Portside Fishing Pier to Tell about the One That Got Away

Look at all the fish you caught in your net! That’s quite a haul! Can you lug it up onto the Portside Fishing Pier?
You can rotate the post on the dock where the seagull sits to help slide the cargo into your boat. This is one of several GeoTrax sets that includes a ship of some kind. This fishing vessel is different from all the other boats in the GeoTrax (sea) world.
Set G5545 Portside Fishing Pier was released in 2004 and discontinued in 2007.
A complete set consists of the following items which are all shown in the picture.
- Fishing Pier
- Fishing Boat
- Fishnet Cargo

Zip Up and Down the Coast in the Oceanside Flier

Here’s another expansion set that includes some basic pieces you can add to your existing setup – an engine, some cars, a little track, etc.
This Oceanside Flier set (G5546) was first released in 2004 and discontinued in 2007. It is almost identical to set H8101 (second release), which does not have the two on/off ramps, but looks virtually the same in other respects. One other difference, however, is that you can insert the remote controller from this set into the depot that comes in the Tracktown Railway set. You cannot do so with the H8101 controller.
A complete set consists of the following items which are all shown in the picture.
- Train Engine (Requires 3 AAA batteries)
- Fuel Car
- Cargo Car
- Remote Controller (Requires 3 AAA batteries)
- Straight Rail Track
- 2 On/Off Ramps (Rail style)
Note: The buttons above take you to the 2nd release of this set.

Go for a Spin around the Coastal Winds Airport

The Coastal Winds Airport set (G5760) is Fisher-Price’s first attempt at flight in the GeoTrax world. The airport is quite heavy due to the mechanisms inside that are needed to spin the airplane around the tower when attached to the white arm.
When it does spin the airplane around the tower, it is quite a sight to see. As pictured below, the cargo plane snaps onto the tower arm. You can easily pull it off after it comes in for a landing.
You also get a truck to haul the cargo away to other parts of your GeoTrax world. You most likely do have more track to connect this piece of track to because this is not really a starter set.
This airport was released in 2004 and discontinued in 2007. The GeoAir High Flying Airport was released the following year (2008).
A complete set consists of the following items which are all shown in the picture.
- Airport Tower and Landing Strip (Requires 3 C batteries)
- Cargo Plane
- Straight Rail Track
- 2 On/Off Ramps (Rail style)
- Truck
- Airport Sign
- Windsock
- 2 Luggage Cubes
- Unloader
- Cargo Tray

Fly Down the Coast Again in This Reincarnation of the Oceanside Flier

This set (H8101) is the second release of the Oceanside Flier. Differences between this set and G5546 are that this version only has 1 piece of track and that you don’t have to connect the remote controller to the depot found in set B1836 Tracktown Railway.
See the train move in this video. It’s the first one in the fourth playlist.
This set was released in 2005 and was discontinued in 2007.
A complete set consists of the following items which are all shown in the picture.
- Train Engine (Requires 3 AAA batteries)
- Cargo Car
- Fuel Car
- Cargo Crate
- Straight Rail Track
- Remote Controller (Requires 3 AAA batteries)

When Getting It There in a Week Just Won’t Do, Hire the Red Wing Jet Plane

The Red Wing Jet Plane expansion set (J0225, released in 2005 and discontinued in 2007) helps you carry your cargo to its destination as fast as possible. When your trip is done, taxi your jet into the sturdy fabric-walled hangar.
You can attach this plane to the Coastal Winds Airport and fly it around the terminal.
The hangar is one of just a handful of sets that has fabric as one of its components. I’m not sure why Fisher Price’s designers decided to use fabric in this instance. Solid plastic might have served the purpose better.
Other sets that employ fabric are the Rocky Falls Tunnel and the sets that include a playmat.
A complete set consists of the following items which are all shown in the picture.
- Jet Plane
- Hangar (Fabric walls and roof)
- Cargo Crate

Wheeler and Wes the Express Team (First Release)
See set N1446 – the second release of Wheeler and Wes – below for details about this set. They’re virtually identical.
Go Up, Up, and Over the Modern High Flying Airport

With the High Flying Airport (aka High-Flyin’ Airport, set N0142), Fisher Price introduced a new type of set and track. This is one of a handful of GeoAir sets that use flexible, blue track onto which you clip specially designed airplanes.
These planes grip the track and climb as high as you want them to. After reaching the top of a loop, gravity takes over, and the plane zips down to the bottom.
You could argue that this isn’t really an expansion set, and I probably wouldn’t disagree with you. It’s really more of a stand-alone set that doesn’t fit well as either a starter or an expansion, so I’ll just leave it in this group anyway.
A complete High Flying Airport set, which was released in 2008 and discontinued in 2010, includes the following pieces.
- Main Tower
- Terminal Base
- Traffic Control Top
- Loading Station
- Air Track with Tabs
- Security Gate
- Air Track with Support
- 4 Air Tracks
- Trestle Base
- Trestle Post
- Airplane (Requires 3 AAA batteries)
- Pilot
- Remote Controller (Requires 3 AAA batteries)

Fly with the Greatest of Ease in Loopy Loco the Bi-Plane

Dressed in sort of a neon yellow jumpsuit and flying a plane of the same color, Darren the pilot soars around the same loops as the original white plane from the High Flying Airport set.
Loopy Loco and company (N1250) were released in 2008 and were discontinued in 2010.
A complete set consists of these three pieces.
- Bi-Plane (Loopy Loco) (Requires 3 AAA batteries)
- Pilot (Darren)
- Remote Controller (Requires 3 AAA batteries)

Zoom through the Skies with Flash the Jet and Dan the Pilot

Flash and Dynamo Dan (N1251) is another installment in the GeoAir series. You can fly the jet on any of the light blue tracks that are part of the Airport, Barn, and Bridge sets.
The jet was released in 2008 and discontinued in 2010. A complete set consist of just these three cool pieces.
- Flash the Jet (Requires 3 AAA batteries)
- Dan the Pilot
- Remote Controller (Requires 3 AAA batteries)

Wheeler and Wes Move the Cargo

This Wheeler and Wes set (N1446) is the second release of this duo. It appears to be the same as the first release in all visible respects. It may be that the sounds that Wheeler makes are different, but I have not been able to test this theory.
This set is included in the same group as the airplanes because Wes is obviously someone who works on the tarmac outside an airport. Wheeler is a vehicle that carries cargo crates and luggage to and from the airplanes.
A complete Wheeler and Wes set includes these pieces.
- Truck (Wheeler)
- Cargo Carrier
- Cargo Crate
- Airport Worker (Wes)
Blast Through the Barn Like an Old-Time Barnstormer

You might be taking your chances flying through the Blast-Through Barn, especially if the farmer comes out and sees you. Fortunately, the GeoAir track will guide you between the doors and in and out of the barn intact. (The setup shown above actually has one more piece of blue track than is included in a complete set.)
The Blast-Through Barn set (N1450) was released in 2008 and discontinued in 2010.
A complete set consists of just these pieces.
- Barn (with windmill and smokestack)
- 2 Special GeoAir Tracks (connected to the windmill and smokestack)
- 2 GeoAir Tracks
- Farmer
GeoAir Fly-By Bridge Combines Land and Air Sets

The Fly-By Bridge (N1451) pretty much begs you to connect your other tracks to it thus bringing the land vehicles and aircraft into close proximity. If you have any sea sets, you can place them nearby as well because there’s a small dock at the base of one of the bridge supports.
This is another set that was released in 2008 and discontinued in 2010. A full set includes the following. (Big Rob is not shown in the picture.)
- Bridge
- 4 Stanchions (2 are connected)
- Air Track with Bridge Connectors
- 2 Additional Air Tracks
- Big Rob (minifig holding a mug)
High Flying Airport and Vehicles

Set N9989 features the standard airport set (N0142) plus the taxi (a repurposed ambulance) and the people shown above.
Jarod (2nd from the left) and Yvonne next to him are included in the original set. The other three men are also found in other sets.
